But the most recent ones were significantly less. $200 per visit. He's very reasonable, never pushes any extra services, and altogether a treasure.
That’s how much our vet charges. If you go to a clinic, it would be even less.
This is the way: https://www.humanerescuealliance.org/vaccination-clinic
The only downside is getting the appointment slot, which is first come, first served and opens on Tuesday morning for the Thursday of the same week.
They recently opened up a community veterinary clinic in SE, too. MUCH cheaper for annual visits, and even sick visits. Not great for emergencies, though.
For emergencies, I've heard that Apex Vet in Silver Spring is a great option (dogs and cats): https://apex.vet/

Most vet offices are owned by venture capital now. Prices will need to come down though. Even puppies are being euthanized are record rates at shelters now because everyone is dumping all their pets.
I haven't heard this at all. Where do you hear that?

Whatever you do don’t go to VCA. It’s like the jiffy lube of animal medicine. Try to find an independent vet clinic-not one owned by venture capital
Exam/$152.00
Bordetella $82.75
DA2P-Pv 3yr $133.55
H3N8/H3N2 (Flu) $123.20
Lyme Vax $103.45
Rabies 3yr $93.10
bloodwork, urine, fecal, heartworm and lyme testing $252.00
VCA pricing, for the curious. I actually like my vet there, but yeah, it's not the cheapest.
Still better than Friendship though...
$940 for a yearly work up is insane.
