Failing to understand the distinction between the City of Alexandria and the portion of Fairfax County called Alexandria has always been a litmus test for me to determine just how much of a moron one is.

There is one guy that walks right in the road, is there literally every day and they do nothing. It pisses me off. I should be able to run errands or drive to work without some druggie stumbling in front of me.

I'm the OP - the Glyer case and that outcome is also extremely disappointing. I feel for the wife, she has YOUNG children and given the motive who's to say he won't get out and begin harassing her again.

He should have been prosecuted for murder and sent to jail for life. Does anyone actually believe he’ll be in the institution for more than a few years?

This was pre-meditated murder. It stretches credulity to state that he didn’t know right from wrong when he committed the act.

This. I’m horrified by the decision recently to let Gret Glyer’s killer plead not guilty by reason of insanity. The case is horrific and I’d bet dollars to donuts the man will be on the streets in a few years after killing a man as he slept in his bed next to his wife that the murderer was obsessed with.

Fairfax has a worthless prosecuter who cares far more about leniency for the guilty than justice for the innocent.
