Noting this isn't specific to Farmland and Luxmanor. Wasn't there a neighborhood in the Churchill cluster that flipped out about being moved to Wootton on the basis that their kids are so smart they NEED to be at Churchill? This is how people who spent $$$ on their houses "for the schools" think about people who live in other places.
Because one person said something you didn’t like, thousands of parents should be snubbed.
I don't think anybody should be snubbed. I think the Farmland/Luxmanor proposal is good but the problem is the people pushing for it haven't consulted the community they want moved and are saying hurtful things. That is not okay and unfortunately means their proposal is doa.

If this was reverse, and WJ was getting more FARMS kids, you know the elementary school parents at Ashburton, Wyngate, and KP would be doing the exact same thing as the Farmland and Luxmanor parents.

No one spoke ill of anyone except Taylor waa repeatedly reminded of his so what email.
"I'm very disappointed in the language I'm hearing here today. Because I hear for example someone saying they want to have an inclusive space, right? Which is a value of mine. And probably a value some of you would say is yours. But it is simultaneously coming out with "but we don't want those FARMS kids here". Excuse me, excuse me, it is my opportunity to speak. We cannot both be inclusive and talk poorly about children and families who have financial difficulties. And so, I want us to be mindful that at all of our schools... I don't think we have one school where children don't qualify for Free and Reduced Meals. So wherever we go, whoever we are with, there are children who qualify for FARMS now so I want everyone be mindful how we speak... "

You again? Hi. No. He mentioned how they were alleviating crowding at Wheaton High though with his recommendation.
His recommendation leaves Wheaton HS overcrowded unless they eliminate Edison HS and convert that space into a second Wheaton HS building
No it doesn't? Here's the data. Go away gnat. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cdtTBaAd7ZcPh5mczdbJc4MS_HkOVfuJ/view
Wheaton is one of the lowest utilized
Only if MCPS goes ahead with a not yet proposed or approved construction project to add classroom space at Edison for Wheaton students.
