Obviously, it’ll differ from school to school and course to course —as it should.

June is usually when AP teachers have students work on a passion project and do presentations. This could be widely adopted, but there are still going to be populations that need a different approach. If the class is developmental reading, students should continue working on those skills, especially if students won’t be in summer school.

Why are people upset? I don’t have a vacation planned for that week, so I’ll send my chid to school. If I had a vacation planned already then I’d have hi, skip that week and still go on vacation. Are people upset because they’ve already booked camp for their kids and they might not get a refund if they cancel? If that were my case, I suppose I’d just send my child to camp. I must be missing something because I don’t understand why some are so upset.

Yes! It’s so funny. I saw the updated calendar and just shrugged. It’s really not a big deal. But then I saw reaction on this board and realized how out of touch so many parents are.
