Wasnt the cartel leader formerly Mexican police?
What is the better approach to ending cartels like this? Is monitoring sufficient? Let them persist and grow? Are cartels no big deal?
The Mexican govt is infiltrated with cartel members. Knowing that, it was time to up the game.
You people are so naive. You think the US government is not infiltrated by the cartels? Trump gives pardons out like candy to cartel members. Oh the state government of Texas is totally in the pocket of the cartels.
Even delta force is on the payroll. Seth Harp's 2025 book The Fort Bragg Cartel details a trafficking ring involving Delta Force and Special Forces soldiers who allegedly partnered with Mexican cartels to smuggle cocaine.
You're almost there. Now, look into the CIA...

They had assistance from US intelligence.

Word is the US was actually involved in the strike. Still taking out the leader of a cartel has been done in the past. They have many mid level guys ready to fill the void and their finances networks have not been touched. Got to address the root cause- the US’s never ending demand of drugs.
The US had the same type of cartels during prohibition. Did not end till the government made it legal and regulated alcohol.
Rumor is cartel was connected to Iran.
Yes the Mexican cartel are Hezbollah and Hamas. They were planning an attack on Israel. They had to be stopped by Trump because Trump is America first(only in name).

Yet another point that they were obviously wrong about. Out of the thousands of other things MAGA keeps getting wrong.
Gee, no, that's not what happened.
The Trump administration held her head underwater until she saw the light.
The message was either you do it or we will.
And Mexico is now a war zone. Why doesn’t Trump send SOCOM after all the people selling and using drugs in the US? You know cut for the money?

It’s really unbelievable, isn’t it? They never fail to defend the lowest of the low.

The Mexican cartels are better equipped and employ ex US seals and rangers. Also lots of people in the US are on their payroll specially in Texas and South Florida. Hopefully they will not plant bombs in the US. The FBI would not be up for that kind of war.
They don't want to start a war against the people who pay all their bills.
