What is the alternative for children who are already here? Don’t educate them? What end does that serve?
It serves two purposes; saving the taxpayers money and stopping the pull of free schools, meals and babysitting for their illegal children.

MAGAs keep saying that but the previous policy was based on the constitution and was well meaning. People who passed through authorized ports of entry legally claiming asylum were given court dates. More asylum seekers than the country could handle came through. Illegals still came by plane, by truck, by crossing at non-authorized places. It overwhelmed the system.
Now we have the most corrupt administration in the history of the country. They are jailing and abusing people they say are criminals. Most of them aren’t criminals. And the criminals were always deported. The police state tactics are for show and they do irreparable harm to people caught up in it who aren’t criminals.
Meet in the middle somewhere or whatever but enough about the past. This will turn out a thousand times worse.

I guess we can have a public vote on this topic? If there is a majority vote for or against then there is no debate. I feel most would vote to legalize ones already here and secure border for a more regulated influx through legal channels. Once there is consensus over it then government can act accordingly.
