Georgetown is bad but I think a couple of new dorms are in the works?
They just opened three new beautiful apartment-style dorms for juniors and seniors.
The downtown dorms are also nice.

Fancy schools that spend too much money on facilities and not enough on education.
Names?
Wash U is known to have some of the best dorms in the country. A friend's kid who graduated 10 years ago says her dorm mattress was nicer than any she's had since.
How do they decide to change out the mattress? And how often? Who decides? Do students report worn out mattress to some authority on campus (lol)?

MIT McCormick Hall. East Tower. Sadly closing for 2 years for renovations.
Where will those kids go?
Not sure. Other dorms or off campus if not 1st year.
McGregor is the most similar wrt singles and suites but I always thought it seemed grim even when new (BF lived there) and it's way farther from classes.

I shuddered moving my DC into her dorm room, which was hideous, dirty, and tiny. However, it bothered me a lot more than her and she had a fantastic freshman year, completely bonded with her roommate and the girls next door, and is now living off campus with all of them. It's no big deal to the kids, so I tried to keep my trepidations to myself.![]()
Send a bottle of Windex or whatever product you use to clean and hope they remember to use it once in awhile to clean their tiny room. Extra mattress covers and pillow covers too.
