I suspect you’re not working that much. Owning a business is a lot of work!! Do you have staff?

Thanks for the suggestion. We're not dog people at all and enjoy traveling too much to do it. Getting a gym membership despite having a home gym setup might make sense though.

If you have a home gym I wouldn't pay for one.

Community in the suburbs is usually centered around kids. If you don’t have them (or primary custody of them), it’s hard to find your people.

I assume you’re not a member of a church? There are volunteer opportunities around. Do Meals on Wheels or Habitat or work at a food pantry. Lots of places would be happy to have you and you might make friends there.

When we moved here, I was wfh, and so the only people I met were through my kids' school.

- a man at the PTA meeting?! That will go over well.

? it did in our school. There were a few male PTA leaders.

Same at our suburban school. NBD. Don't be weird and have a complex.

Am I searching for something that can't be found?

I really don't want to cheat and have no intention of it. I love my wife.

Hate the sport. Played as a kid and said I'd never play again.

I'm already playing other sports and in a few GCs for sports with other young guys/coeds but most people my agre are working and or living in D.C.

OP here. Would it be odd? I feel as if other moms might think I have nefarious reasons for joining. I can't imagine a lot of other moms would like a 20-30 year old male joining the PTA....

You'll be fine, but you may get hit on LOL

I hope your marriage can withstand the temptation. Your situation seems like it might be rife for cheating - means and opportunity.

I think it can. I've never cheated and I don't want to cheat (I'm aware it's so much easier to say this online behind a screen as opposed to IRL). I believe it's more so the companionship and knowing other people in a similar situation.
