If your kid is having chronic constipation issues, it may take a week or more of daily miralax&colace + proper hydration and fiber to get things moving regularly again. Please encourage your kid to adjust their diet for prevention (more plants, fewer constipating foods, better hydration) rather than off-and-on treatment of symptoms.
