Kids are 9, 11, 13. I think they should have a say but in my jurisdiction it depends on the judge and it is not common so it is what it is.
No, there are plenty of parents who use divorce as a way to remove themselves from the responsibilities of parenting. The fact that he has what sounds like is a nice place for the kids to be, and wants to have the kids there, is a very good thing. Instead of worrying about pets grieving that their kids are gone some of the time, you could easily be dealing with kids grieving the loss of a parent all of the time.

Kids will go with the parent who brainwashes them. Don’t put them in the situation to choose between parents.

Thank you all for your thoughtful advice here. Going to move on from this because I can see that’s the only choice I have.
If neither of you want the dogs, redone them.

Why should he take every other weekend which is four days a month then mom will be screaming kids miss friends and he gets no time. Yes, he probably wants it.
