About 2/3 remain for the RD round.
Based on year to year historical data, about 1/3 of T20 spots are taken in the early rounds.
About 2/3 remain for RD applicants.
Far fewer top LAC spots are taken in the early rounds.
Top 10 LAC acceptance will come out in the RD round.
There is one ED2 Middlbury acceptance.
This is very, very different than the results in recent years from the Big3 DC school that my child attends.
The have literally been a small handful of RD top20 school admits each year.
DMV privates are very unique in this regard. What is the overall percentage of students accepted into T20 and top LACs?
Big3 send around 30% to T20, another 15% to top lacs. About 80-90% of these got accepted in ED/REA. Almost no one got accepted in RD.
This is bullshit! GDS this year have only about 10 T20 ED/EA acceptace.
This is true and as a GDS parent in 10th, the results are very worrying. Worst year ever.

The males seemed to have used ED/REA for only their true top reaches and seem fine with taking on the higher risk of waiting for full info at RD round.
yes ED is more popular with girls at DS's school too. they want to lock something down early and sometimes have gone down a level in ED or ED2 to do so. the boys seem ok flirting with disaster.

My kid's class is 750 kids. She couldn't even begin to guess or know who applied to what school other than perhaps her very close friends.
If you attend a private school of 80 kids, there is a lot of chatter especially among boys. My son went to an all-boys school and I think he knew where everyone was applying before the boys even send on their applications and he wasn't even looking for this info (college apps were not his thing). They all talk when hanging out in the senior lounge. Plus parents are friends so you have this stream of chatter too.
My son attended a very small private boys school with 50 boys per grade. While he vaguely knew where others were applying he said in general most boys did not talk much about it, he felt it was rude to even find out unless someone mentioned it. My daughter at an all girls is very clued in. So I dont think its a school thing, its more a personality thing. I am sure there are girls in my daughters school who are not like her. But even at these small private schools some kids dont tell others where they are actually applying. I have been through this a couple of times and have seen this.
