Is your gym a 2 minute drive from your house? And you only workout for 25min or something? Confused by leaving for the gym and being home again 45min later. Unless the gym is less than 5 min from your door to being on the machines.
Not PP but these questions are why I figured out how to get a good workout in at home many years ago. You don't need that much equipment -- solid set of hand weights, a pull up bar, some resistance bands. It's so much more efficient. I can get up at 6 or even 6:30, get a 45 minute workout in, jump right in the shower, and still have time to eat breakfast and get ready before leaving for work at 8.
I did the morning gym routine for years in my 20s. Back then I lived with roommates in a house with little space for working out, and actually liked going to the gym just to get out of the house. But even then, I went to the gym on the way to work so it was more efficient. Now I have a kid so that would be harder to do without dumping the morning routine on my partner every morning. But I also have my own home with plenty of space to work out now, too, so I just have way less need for a gym membership. The idea of waking up at 5 to travel to the gym and then come back home to eat and get ready for work while also getting my kid out the door sounds awful to me.
