There are plenty of protests your high school students can join outside school hours in the DC Metro area. Also, your student can get an excused absence to go protest elsewhere during school hours.

That’s bullshit. The two protesters killed in Minneapolis were 37.

Trump and his thugs send ICE into Democratic areas where they can get more publicity. They started to ramp up ICE raids in Richmond and other parts of Virginia after Spanberger was elected to punish the state. And they regularly attack Fairfax as a sanctuary jurisdiction, but it covers a large area, so they don’t get as much attention sending their goons into various parts of the county like Annandale and Hybla Valley as they get sending thousands of agents into a city.

If raids in Fairfax get more noticeable, and ICE doesn’t change its Gestapo-like tactics, there will be student protests, and then the same MAGA tools who are ridiculing students for not protesting will attack them for their advocacy.

The reality is is that most of the "outrage" is media manufactured. It is not an organic outrage. The protesters are either paid actors or old white people. The students are neither. Students will "protest" when the weather is nicer and see an opportunity to leave/adviod school. To cold out right now for that to happen

Probably too cold for the little losers

They tried one yesterday at my kids high school that was quashed. They are going to work with admin to reschedule.

Actually.. I am a high school teacher, and I remember back in 2020 students taking days off to go to local protests and some kind of political event. Definitely talking about what was going on. About the primaries, etc. and no, I did not start the conversations, simply witnessed students engagement in politics. Nothing at all this year or last year. I do find it deeply upsetting.
