I’ve been doing this, along with giving up caffeine, and I feel fantastic. I’m asleep by 830 and wake up naturally at 430-5. So I get a solid 2+ hours of kid free time.
It really surprised me how much better I sleep without caffeine. I don’t drink a ton, so I thought it wasn’t having that much impact, but my insomnia is completely gone and I sleep much deeper with much more vivid dreams.
I went caffeine-free for three months about a year ago and the sleep was incredible.
I can’t give up the bean juice though. SUCH a powerful addiction.
For anyone who’s interested in the history of our collective caffeine addiction, I highly recommend Michael Pollan’s ‘This is Your Mind on Plants.’
