There is a two week window in which they can try to get the hearing back with steroids. I hope they tried steroids with you.

If it happens again, go to ER.

I did not know this and lost hearing permanently.

I got pneumonia at age 36 after a very bad cold. My back started to hurt and breathing became difficult. It was scary. Call your doctor.

Antibiotics are for *bacterial* infections, not viral infection. If you still have a fever and feel sick, then it means you still have the bacterial infection and need to be evaluated and given different antibiotics. You are likely resistant to the first one they gave you.



Viral infections can become bacterial pneumonia.

I don't think number 1 is just about getting old, that's concerning.

Two and three, yeah, that can come with the territory of being over 50.
