Get one of those little epilators, they’re so easy. I have a teen with dark hair and this happens to her so I just run it over her upper lip as needed and it’s immediately gone.

If she doesn’t care, then don’t make her feel like there’s something wrong with her. There isn’t. It’s normal to have hair on your face! If she does care, then she can try one of the many options identified in this thread.

Sometimes I wax/pluck my upper lip, other times I don’t. I never feel self-conscious about it, and it hasn’t stopped me from being considered generally attractive. It’s not obvious from your post how “bad” the mustache is either. Some women consider any hair on their face unacceptable, but it’s often not really noticeable unless you look really closely.

Do not use a razor on her upper lip.

It will give eventually her stubble, a 5 o'clock shadow, and posdibly ingrown hair.

The only solutions are waxing or permanent hair removal.

My laser lady said they can’t do minors, due both to consent and raging hormones. But maybe it was just consent and I got confused about the hormones bc while I was dealing with the perimenopausal chin hairs, I was thankful I had less leg and underarm hair growth, but around then the HRT kicked in and the body hair started up again.

This. My 16 yr old uses it and has since she was about 11. She has no interest in waxing or getting it lasered. It works quite well and is super easy

I’ve alternated between wax and bleach.

I’ve asked my derm about laser, but they were not positive of a good outcome.

Get it waxed at a salon the first time and the buy Veet wax strips to use at home.
