Because nothing will change between tomorrow and Tuesday or Wednesday. Time to rip the bandaid.
+1 we can’t stay closed for weeks and asynchronous learning is no substitute.
Actually they can. Calendar has 15 built in days for inclement weather. Teachers work those days pro bono. Cope harder. There’ll be a closure made in the early morning. Don’t ask how I know.
I agree with this poster. Western Loudoun is often no different from Eastern. It’s an overused excuse. Good on Loudoun for ripping off the band aid! Interestingly, from what I can see, metro areas in the south (GA, NC, etc.) quickly moved to virtual if unsafe to physically open, and up north, they opened within 1-2 days. For whatever reason, the DC metro is the only one that culturally excuses this insanity and just does nothing but close.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:And now APS and FCPS have closed too. Why would one be upset about school opening?
Western Loudoun is still pretty bad

Why would they have?? It’s going to be 38 degrees today. Our roads aren’t nearly as bad as the tighter packed dense neighborhoods in Arlington and Fairfax that plows couldn’t fit down. We have no reason not to go!
