We use dakboard app on an old monitor hung up in the kitchen. Not sure why you are opposed to a digital calendar. The calendar is on a monitor- your kids don't need devices. All the kids have their own color so they can always see what they have that day and coming up. It rotates through family photos, lists the weather. It's great.

We use an excel spreadsheet. Lots of columns. Kids are young so it’s just for me, DH and nanny.

We used a paper calendar for many years (from Target- with big squares/no pictures)- I would sit down at the beginning of the month and write out all the kid activities, parent work travel, etc. I actually liked being able to take it down and sit to write vs writing on a whiteboard on the wall

Now we use the (small size) skylight calendar. It is very convenient. We also don’t pay for the extras

Same. I have been thinking about upgrading to the huge Skylight and hanging it on the wall.

I put a monthly desk calendar on our fridge with magnets. I like it, everyone can see it easily and kids can easily add things too. We also decorate special days, seems a little old school but it works well for us.

Skylight. Wasn’t fond of another app and another device but it’s great. Google Calendar just wasn’t working for us. And, with the skylight the kids check it daily and add events. We have the 15 inch but I can see us upgrading to the larger one soon.

We use Google Calendar, but we also have a weekly white board calendar on the fridge that I update each weekend after we talk through the upcoming week together. Ours is similar to this one: https://a.co/d/01LOkecK

I see the appeal of skylight, but we started this system a long time ago and it works well for our family.

P.S. Prior to this, I had a dry erase calendar for years and I got SICK of updating it one day and found the skylight.

We use Cozi calendar after Google had too many syncing issues. It's linked to an off-brand Skylight that sits on the calendar. Tween has a paper planner for school.

We have a paper wall calendar that we use as a physical representation of major dates but nobody uses it for the daily events.

Not OP, but if your kids aren’t old enough for devices, they can consult a paper calendar on the fridge. We printed the Google Calendar for this purpose.

PP again, but this is why the Skylight is great - it allows DH and I to sync to the Google Calendar (and older DD can on her Apple Watch) and the younger kids can see it in the kitchen every morning. Also they can scroll ahead to see what's coming up in the future.

Also, we don't pay for all the extras - we use it solely for the calendar and it was worth the money.
