OP There's no drama. I sometimes get annoyed at the lack of professionalism - i.e. "Did you see my Teams message?" "Oh, ha, no Idk how to use Teams so I didn't see it." when something is urgent - and the disorganization but I have no interpersonal drama.

The only thing I find super weird is the other new coworker recently found out they check entrance video cameras to confirm we're coming in when we say we come in? Which I find incredibly weird and offputting if true but I have no way of confirming and can't be like, "Hey, do you do this?" because then I look like I'm trying to hide something lol.

At my company, people have come and gone and sometimes come back. You can remain professional about it and stay friendly with former coworkers.

You are right. People will probably be annoyed.

Apply. Loyalty is overrated. Just don't ghost the other company, tell them you're not coming or that you're leaving as soon as you can. We have had a few candidates call 2 days before their start day that they are gong elsewhere. We already spend time and money on background checks etc. But it's common and I'd rather have an employee that wants to work for us than with a foot out the door and leave after we invested more time and gave them responsibilities etc.
