And none of the cars parked on the street are getting out without a flamethrower. The stuff the plows pushed to the side is a door-handle-height wall of cement at this point. Just chiseling off the slab of ice at the end of our driveway took my husband three hours this morning.
I do think the ones who ignored the advice to shovel early ended up being better off. Yeah, it's heavy, but at least it's not adhered to the pavement.
