There has been so much news lately that starts out as a reddit thread. That 17-year-old American citizen who got detained at Target, roughed up, and then released at a Walmart... I saw that on Reddit and social media for a couple of days before it was released on mainstream media.

I don't believe everything I see and I will wait to have someone authenticate it before I accept its veracity. In the meantime, I forwarded the link last night to my congressman and asked him to look into it.

We know this is happening. It's only a matter of time before more of this gets out.

You must not be paying attention. We do not have a free press any longer. The mainstream media is not covering what is actually happening. You can hear the man in the video explaining where he thinks he is (could be wrong) and what's going on around him. I'll believe a first hand account over our government or our media any day.

And remember, Epstein’s girlfriend is living in relative comfort despite the fact that she engaged in more egregious acts than the majority of the people ICE is rounding up.

These facilities are all private contractors. Go after the contractors and ICE will not be able to function.

Silence becomes passive approval, which tells the powers that be that we’re ok with it— and perhaps signal we won’t put up much of a fight if they do it to the rest of us one day, too.

I work in that building. I’ve seen every room. Those benches are the kind they built in the 70s.

I honestly think most of them face more real political persecution here than they ever did in their home countries.

We could also coat people with napalm and set them on fire, broadcasting it live on network channels. The screams and watching flesh melt off bone would be a great deterrent.

We don't do it because we are not monsters, and "cruel and unusual punishment" by our government is prohibited to both citizens and non-citizens alike. It applies to inhumane prison conditions as well, by precedent.
