Because in season 3, it felt like a pointless addition to the plot that added zero to the story or the character development.

Benedict is hot.

The funny thing about Season 3 is it's the only season where I thought the central plot in the book was better. In the book Colin doesn't get upset about Penelope being Lady Whistledown, he finds out before they get together. Season 1 is pretty dead on as far as the central story goes but all the fun stuff with the Queen and the siblings isn't in the book. The second book is almost a rehash of the first, with the dumb "forced to get married because of a bee sting" plot.

Benedict's book is a pretty straightforward Cinderella story and he never got the early character development he got in the TV show, so I'm hopeful this one can improve on the books.

While I agree season one the most complete and most well written overall, the couple had zero chemistry and I never bought that he supposedly fell for her. He did a much better job convincing me he didn’t want to be a husband or father.

I am hoping this turns around the series for me. Season 1 so far can’t be beat.

Season 3 was pretty forgettable.

It had a gay storyline, but it was a storyline with beautifully developed characters and romance.

Benedict in Season 3 basically came off as the writers decided hey let's add some gay soft porn and unrelated to the story menage a trois just because girl stuff about romance, interesting characters and story development is boring.

Dude writers writing for dudes.

And the Charlotte series was wonderful.

Season 2 didn't have chemistry in the main characters, but all the secondary characters were very enjoyable.

Season 3 was a complete let down.

They had zero chemistry as a couple, impossible to care about them.

Season 3 was soooo bad. I tried really hard but I couldn't finish it.

It felt like it was written by an illiterate dude who likes porn and thinks he knows why women enjoy watching. It was awful.

The costumes were ugly.

The random sister who got written back into the show and her beaux were unwatchable. Who wants to watch boring awkward people sit around and say nothing.

Penelope and Colin had all the chemistry of someone having to kiss their sister. They are boyh better actors than the romance that was written by the screen writers.

The random secondary story line about the boxer was just thrown in pointlessly.

The interesting characters were all reduced to cameos.

Benedicts story was gratuitous and unnecessary as written.

The only interesting storyline worth watching was Penelope and that old rich guy.

Season 3 was a huge disappointment and so poorly written/developed.

It made me less eager to watch future Bridgerton series. With the other ones, I binged watched them strait through.

I just want you guys to know that’s there’s a Bridgerton set in the 1980’s. It’s called Rivals. It’s based on one of Jilly Cooper’s novels, not my favorite one tbh, but you might try it while you’re snowed in and waiting for Bridgerton.
