is she good looking? what she brings to the table? Good in taking care of home, sex, anything else?

You said it all. Women have to look good for their age if they are broke otherwise they don't bring enough to the table.

At 26, your wife would be gorgeous but that's not the case for Op.

I met my beautiful wife at an art show when I was 40 years old and she was 26. She was a struggling artist, financially broke, and still living at home. I was making over $2M at the time. When I asked her out on our first date, she was honest about not having much money and still living at home.

We got married three months after we started dating, and I am still very happy with that decision ten years later. Being beautiful and broke with a goal is okay. Being fat and broke is definitely a big no.

Being overweight and bad with finances are symptoms, but what is the 'disease'?
It's not the symptoms that make it harder for you to date. It's what causes them, and there are more you don't mention.

This is what I have seen with a couple of friends who are dating and broke. Sometimes the men they date are handsome and funny and interesting, but they don’t have their lives together.

How old are you and how attractive you are?

I'm married now but I was dating from 37-42. I'm like a DC 9 but only like 5 in the real world.

I don’t think it’s the age thing. It’s attractiveness and how well maintained the woman is. I was dating 44-47 and also never had to for for meals. In fact, men asked me out so much to restaurants that I mostly declined suggesting something more low key or more interesting (like, light drinks +an activity). I’m thin and not a great eater so restaurants don’t appeal to me.

That's the thing - you are thin and men find you attractive. Op's BMI is 33ish which means she could be close to 200 lbs with a woman height of close to 5'5" and not sure if anyone finds that attractive. It is also how OP carries herself and shows insecurity of her weight because it comes out. based on BMI, I would not even give OP DC 5 and that is hard truth.

if open just wants to sleep around or date date date then it is ok because you are out before someone else's realizes that you are broke but if you want to be in an LTR then it would be very tough for OP.

Men will pay for a few dates if there is a chance of getting sex but a decent man would not date a broke woman at this stage of his life for LTR. No one wants to be responsible for paying someone else's stuff and if she is broke then there can't be any trips, going out to events or anything like this. Also, men would only pay if they also know you are capable of paying on your own otherwise they would lose respect for you and that is not good for dating/LTR.

+1

If I am dating a broke woman then respect goes out of the window. You should be able to afford basic things without getting help from the guy you are dating and if you can't then they will soon run away.
