This is what some do not grasp. There are too many deer in Arlington for the available food and not enough natural predators to keep the ecosystem in balance. Reducing the deer herd size to a level that keeps the ecosystem in balance is important.
No evidence provided that is the case in Arlington. It's all for the $$$$ for the stupid twigs they plant in wire enclosures after defoliating huge areas in the name of conservation.

Single sharpshooter, food bait.
Be sure to say goodbye to any deer you see. Tell your kids they will be shot and eaten.

I do greet them. And I will be communicating with the deer.
And people like you vote unfortunately
I vote Republican in local Arlington elections because the Peoples Republic of Arlington is a money pit of waste.

The county could feed the deer instead. They could hire some people to provide delicious, healthy meals.

Deer are spreaders of ticks that cause Lyme disease, OP. You don't want a deer overpopulation near you. Deer are a major cause of accidents. Two of my husband's colleagues were nearly killed by deer collisions at dusk.
I love animals. But there's a limit.
How many people have been shot in the past?
Nobody knows.
