No wonder the aisles are bare.
The level of hysteria here about navigating sub-optimal road conditions from some people. Wow.
Eh. Everyone is so busy around here. It's an excuse to slow down. We got the basics but also a lot of fun items so we can enjoy the at-home time.
I don't want to hunker in my house for a week. I can slow down and still go out to the grocery store a couple days after a storm.
Why not? Are you okay? If you need help, call non emergency line or get national help.

You realize some people only shop once a week on a typical week??

I'd advise going right before they close then trying again first thing in the AM if that is a bust.
I went at 830am to Trader Joes, and they were turning people away because store was too full. I dont know of inventory.
DP but I saw the line down the block in Clarendon this morning around 8:30. They open at 8am so maybe it got better after the initial rush. I’m curious how it is right now. After 5pm will be nuts, and probably tomorrow too. I went to Giant around 8:30 and it was busy but fine. No problem getting everything.
Which Tr Joe's was this?

I don't. Effing Arlington never treats or plows our little network of streets. A few hundred yards away, black pavement. In between? Many inches of icy ruts, packed snow.
If your street genuinely "never" gets treated or plowed, go to the County website and enter your info. They have a website form for this.
I expect to be back out in the world like normal on Tuesday personally. But I'll also drive over some snow and ice on my side street to get to the main road and not sweat it. Based on the amount of traffic in the days following storms, most people behave the way I do.

I want them hysterical, drivers in this area are terrible. Safer for everyone they stay off the roads.
