DS is in. NoVa public school. 3.8 weighted GPA, 1350 SAT, Eagle Scout, NHS, 4 years of XC and Track and participated in three clubs (officer in one of them)

They have not checked yet (Friday morning), but I’m going to ask them to check this afternoon. I’m pretty sure it’s a deferral.

Yes, my kid just got deferred to regular admissions.

I was kind of surprised since his older brother is at JMU already and got in EA two years ago with very similar stats.


JMU admission keeps getting tougher. EA has become quite competitive.

Yes, my kid just got deferred to regular admissions.

I was kind of surprised since his older brother is at JMU already and got in EA two years ago with very similar stats.

They are - weirdly so but I think some also defer a lot and admit later.


This. Mine was deferred at UGA, USC and Clemson and got into all 3 regular decision. Still decided ultimately on JMU!!
