OP back. I just sent DH this email... we will see what he says LOL. We have been to Snowshoe many times and like it there, but I just think it's too far for this trip. Of the others, we went to liberty once 10 years ago. It was a day trip, and our oldest two had a few hours long ski lesson for their first ever time skiing. It was a nice experience. We also went to Seven Springs for one day once and had a fine / good time - just wish it wasn't going to be so cold there, otherwise I might just do it again. Never been to Whitetail, Wisp, or Timberline.
I took off work Thursday / Friday. I guess we can wait to see how things fare after the storm and just decide at the last minute but I suppose start thinking about it?
We have dog care Wed. PM to Sat. AM

The 3 that take the Epic pass, which we have 2 days of - are Seven Springs, Liberty, or Whitetail. I would be willing to eat the cost of the epic pass and go somewhere else if you really want to. We could do one day at Liberty or Whitetail if you don’t want to do 2 days… or two day trips; one to each if you don’t want to stay overnight…
I assume we don’t want to drive to snowshoe (though X family will be there) (not epic pass).
Seven Springs: appx 3.5 hours drive (highs of 12, 11 degrees forecasted on Thurs./Fri. for now)
Liberty: Appx. 1 hr 40 mins drive (highs of 22, 24 degrees forecasted on Thurs./Fri. for now)
Whitetail: Appx. 1 hr 50 mins drive (highs of 22, 23 degrees forecasted on Thurs./Fri. for now)
Wisp: 3 hrs 9 mins drive (highs of 10, 11 degrees forecasted on Thurs./Fri. for now – Y family will be there) (not epic pass)
Timberline: 2 hrs 50 mins drive (highs of 11, 14 degrees forecasted on Thurs./Fri. for now) (not epic pass)
Next year I think I shouldn’t buy any pass and we’ll just wing it locally at any of the above.
