Well, the will of Israelis—that is, the people who live in Israel—is to continue to exist.

+1. Weird. I don’t like Shapiro but not bc he’s Jewish. I don’t support supporters of Israel’s actions or those who try to use claims of anti semitism for brownie points.

I have family and friends who have served in the govt with security clearances. They get asked all sorts of questions like that. It’s part of the vetting process. Why would he think he shouldn’t be vetted?

No, the point is there was no Israel,IDF, or Jewish related discussion. He seems much better than the other candidates as far as thinking/talking on his feet.

And you don't see how any IDF service could be considered a conflict of interest for a VP potential president? Plenty of Jewish people don't serve in the IDF in any capacity.

As someone who knocked on doors for Kamala, this news pisses me off. Shapiro volunteered on an IDF base decades ago doing service projects, not engaging in combat, but almost certainly he got this interrogation solely because he is a pro-Israel Jew.

Some people are pulling quotes about Harris being frustrated that the VP isn’t included in as much decision making as she had been used to in prior roles. Everyone knows that’s an issue with the VP position. Anyone going from being a senator to VP is going to find that frustrating.

Also, she mentioned at some point that the VP’s office didn’t have bathroom. He positions this as a reason Harris is difficult or something instead of asking why the VP has to run down the hall for the bathroom like a staffer.

When people blow up tiny things, it’s telling me there really isn’t much there.
