I wonder if they will consider changing the format to get the meet in on Friday/Saturday. They could start earlier on Friday, change the 13-14 lineup to the shorter 11-12 lineup, etc.
With the snow totals currently being called if you are in a hotel room night Saturday night you are going to be there at least Sunday night (and maybe Monday night as well).
Which is why if this forecast holds they should start planning for the cancellation of Sunday and assess whether changing the meet schedule or format is possible. There is no chance this meet runs on Sunday if there is a foot of snow that is going to fall on Saturday night into Sunday, so there should be some priority given to allowing people that are coming from a distance to plan to head home after Saturday’s events. Or cancel the whole thing and try to re-schedule it in the next few weeks? I feel like that is hard to do with the number of out of town teams involved though.

No. Friday will happen. Saturday will almost certainly happen. Sunday will depend on the weather.
This is not a regular meet though… they can’t just cancel Sunday since swimmers need to swim 5 events?
If they cancel, they'll have to drop Extreme from the meet name next year.

There might be a lot of scratches.
But the out of towners stuck in DC will be at hotels so they'd be the ones less likely to scratch. The locals who are driving would be more likely to scratch.
