The plan will be wait and see - cancel if it snows a lot. Everyone else can put their big boy pants on and make a decision. You cannot reschedule, that is not a thing. You have pool rental fees (they could not afford it and the pools are booked months even years in advance).

Compressing a meet is really not possible either, certainly with the number of swimmers involved.

They can run Friday and Saturday. Snow is looking to start on Saturday. i imagine they will attempt to run Sunday but UMD will end up closing and they will not have a choice. They will probably just tell everyone to listen for announcements. I don't know if this is an east coast snow or just local. That would impact scratches.

But in the end, adults need to make decisions for their families - and for some reason parents are just terrible at that stuff. You say, we will swim what we can and leave early to not risk it (and you gamble one way or another) or you say we will stay and if we get snowed in for a few days extra in a hotel room we are good with that which means we won't be swimming.

It is a swim meet. There are other swim meets. I think it will be tougher on the teams that are doing team travel to this meet. Now you are risking other kids, liability, etc. Personally if I were running a club and taking a bus, etc. I would say hey, we have to switch this to parent travel and you have to make the right decision for your family.

If the snow amounts are really that large, out of towners are going to be stuck at UMD for days. I know that is not something I would want - stuck in a hotel with limited options for food.

I would imagine they will just cancel giving out awards. If this storm does happen, there will be advance notice (weather people are already geeking out) so we will probably get some communication about the plan by Thursday. We have a hotel room (like many others) so it would be nice to know before Friday whether Sunday is happening.

Yeah they can’t have a meet if the campus is closed and that decision is made by the university not the Marlins.

They certainly can just cancel Sunday. It's not the Olympics. They'll either skip the plaques or give them out based on events already swum.
