If I really want something, I don't have trouble staying focused on getting it. But truthfully, I don't think in terms of wanting things. Rather, I think in terms of improving my life and the lives of the people around me.

If you pray, are your prayers most often expressed in the form of requests or affirmations?

If you meditate is there any focus, mantra, or..?

If you don't pray, is there any other kind of practice you do?

If you are an atheist, is there any kind of centering or other thought process you use in your day?

We all know by now, if one is an atheist, they don't believe in a god or gods and consider that prayer is irrationally talking to imaginary beings. Maybe you could include this in your post but unless your conscience compels you to, not respond to every post with that? Or if your conscience compels you to, let us know.

Thanks!

My conscience compels me to say that prayer is irrationally talking to imaginary beings. My conscience also compels me to say that I think people pray because they enjoy such talk, actually thinking that it could result in them getting whatever they want without doing any work.
