We really don’t know if he just went there for a couple weeks, a couple months, or a full-time.

But if you went there for a couple weeks or even for the winter months, he also deserves respite from caring for someone.

It’s insane to think somebody is gonna spend that much time away from their family and work and not be compensated in some way shape or form.

Why wouldn’t you? Do you want that money to go to a nursing home? You don’t want to pay your sibling so that you can get more inheritance?

What do you think that money is for? It’s for their care.

You usually have 3-4 people, not 1 person 24/7 365 days a year.

OP - For your own mental and physical help, you need to schedule time off so that you keep
a life of your own going. For you in the future you need to consider being paid with sidicisk security being paid so set it up so it helps you in the future. If you are single and have a career, have you considered how you will be able to support yourself in the future?? Unless you are financially secure for the future, you may be making the wring choice for your quality of life in the future. Your dad is not meeting his responsibilities to you or his wife.
Goodwill will not be there for you when you need care so think carefullly.

It sounds like she is taking Pay for all of her work from her parents estate. Which is fair. She should get pay at least equal to what it would cost to hire help (and then a bit more as she will provide much better care than hired helP)

If everyone is ok with it, I say go for $3000 a week! It will be very draining for you. That’s a lot on one person.
