I know what OP means. If you’ve been with a man who was really connected with you and intimacy was a given with sex, then future partners seem kind of meh if they can’t do it. Sex without intimacy can be good, but never great.

Some people take sex very seriously and others don’t. When there’s a mismatch you get this kind of feeling. OP, I’d say enjoy him and perhaps you’ll connect more deeply on occasion. But only you know if you’re well matched or not.
