I’m just hunkering down amidst the shit storm that’s almost certainly only bound to get worse.

I can’t risk anything openly protesting because I’m supposed to be the sponsor for a person’s application for immigration. If I torpedo my status, I ruin their chances to ever come to the US.

I also have an ex who would be only too happy to see me get into legal trouble, he keeps trying without any luck to “catch me” doing something. I have even deleted all my social media when I found out they were printing things out.

I do not do ANYTHING.

I agree. We actually have dual Canadian citizenship but even we can just get up and leave. There’s work, school etc. and you cat just get up and leave. I will say though that when I am visit Canada, I feel so much happier and lighter. It is a great place but for now we are bound here.

This. There's really nowhere to go, unless you already have dual citizenship somewhere. Anywhere that will take just anybody has a set of reasons why, the politics of most other places are nearly as messy as ours (some are worse, a few are marginally better without guarantee of that continuing much longer). Even with financial means, it's not that easy.

I'm committed to staying here and making myself a problem, should the need arise. If everyone who can fight chooses to flee instead, well, there goes America.

We are both feds and not quite ready to retire. About all we can do is stay the course and become part of the deep state.
