I do if trash has come by but not if it's empty. People are SUPER precious about their dumpsters, which is so odd to me. They put rotten food, diapers, tampons, vomit, and other bodily fluids in there but, hey, wrapped dog poop is offensive.

And do NOT say it smells or gets all over. People don't put handfuls of it in a can. I have many animals and have had them for decades. All the usual excuses are simply inaccurate. People just get territorial.

What an odd response. Animal feces actually attracts flies and maggots. We wash our cans out bi-weekly in the summer and some azzhole put poop in it while it was out drying. So entitled.

Where do you find public dumpsters?

They are at least one on every corner in the city.

Those are NOT public. They belong to the business or shopping center on which they reside. The only "public" dumpsters would be ownership of the city or county, what is usually referred to as "the dump".

They absolutely do NOT. I have dozens of poo bags in mine a week. This is complete BS. Just own that you are being weirdly authoritarian about your trash can. Because people like you give Gollum vibes about their cans . . . . "my precious" is mine.

I hope you mean the nearest public bin. Please do not out it in mine on garbage day!

.

A Neighbor kept putting it in my paper bag of leaves. What a lazy idiot. I had half a mind to rub his nose in it.

That would not cross my mind to dump 💩 in others trash can, maybe as a teenager., not as an adult!

They are talking about a larger dumpster outside a building.

Would I want this thing done to me? If it were my dumpster, if I were the sanitation worker responsible for emptying it, and so on.

That’s poor logic. Sanitation workers empty personal trash can filled with poop every day.

Let’s look at the greater good; putting it in the nearest available dumpster is good for all of us. Unless you are walking around with an elephant, one or two bags of properly closed dog poop is not going unbalance the forces of good and evil.

This is much better than the knuckleheads who let their little poop-machines go two feet away from the dog-station and don’t bother to pick up 😐

Yes it’s totally fine.
I do it all the time.

I think there is a difference between a personal trash can out at the curb and a dumpster.

Don't put it in someone's trash can as it will get stuck to the bottom and smell.

Sure throw it in a dumpster. Who cares.
