Wrong interpretation. ED = maybe reject. EA and RD is a guaranteed reject. They are DESPERATE to protect their yield.


You know what would be really fun? Re-hashing the argument about whether or not U Chicago is a top school, AGAIN.

You know, I always wonder what sort of person makes remarks like the ones above.

I have degrees from two of HYPMS, and many of my friends and colleagues went to similar schools. But not one of them would make such an asinine statement.

Care more academics, less about admissions rounds.

Makes sense to me. A 3.2 from a high rigor grade deflated feeder that they can trust? Or a 4.0 from a grade inflated public school where they have not admitted many in the past? They have years of experience in this.
