Four Seasons in Philly is nice. Do dinner there or at one of the Stephen Starr restaurants. Go to Longwood gardens on the way there or back.

Love the Philly idea.

Four Seasons Baltimore for an overnight.

If you have 2-3 nights, live near an airport, and have tsa precheck, fly to Charleston and stay at a boutique hotel (or any hotel really) near King Street. Make restaurant reservations ahead of time. Better yet: stay at The Sanctuary on Kiawah.

What about the Williamsburg Inn? It is really nice, and there are some good restaurants in Williamsburg.

I love Middleburg, but the Salamander has become prohibitively expensive and it’s just not worth the money. Goodstone Inn may be cheaper, but I haven’t been there in quite a while.
