I work at home in a drafty old house.

Same here, although I have now retired. And I bet my old drafty house is colder than yours is (because it costs far too much to heat to a comfortable temp--I live in a northern state).
Really warm slippers.
I layer a cotton long-sleeved top under a wool sweater. When that isn't enough, I add a merino long sleeved top in between.
I only wear long underwear (not the thermal kind, it really isn't that warm) when it's also really cold outside, which is also when my house is coldest (especially if it's cold AND windy). I wear a lightweight synthetic but the best I ever had was lambswool or silk.
I have an electric throw but it's awkward and often the cord would get tangled up in my office chair wheels, or a corner of the throw would slip down. A wool shawl is great. My son bought me a heater that surrounds your lower legs and covers your thighs (like a cub missing a bottom and one side. I used these only for those really cold windy days (I'd have to replace the siding on my house and also have it wrapped, which I can't really afford; house has insulation of course but the original board walls plus tarpaper plus wood siding lets cold air in.
You have to get up and move around periodically to generate some body heat. Sadly, my job did not allow for that. Homemade chai (use a recipe that includes a little black pepper) is also good.
