I used to visit her and she would visit me almost monthly. I forgot about her after Covid because we stopped talking.


She will top talking to you either now if you don’t take the hint, or later when you ask her to move out and she’s not ready. You can’t win here. You need to choose the less annoying way to lose.

You post the same krap all the time here. Your old friend in need, ghosted you then wants to suddenly hang out, what to do, what to do.

Get a busier job, tell her to get one as well.

Yes, if you had consistent history with this person. You don’t. She ghosted you and now you’ve reconnected. I would absolutely help a friend in need in this way if there was full trust. Otherwise, you could end up with a squatter! I know that sounds paranoid, but what is this friend’s long term plan? If nothing, she could become desperate and overstay.

We bought a beach house last year and I spent a weekend with her there this past summer and that was the first and last time I saw her in 4 years.

Our beach house sits vacant. We don’t rent it out but we’re considering renting it out this summer. We could probably get $1k per night for the house during peak summer months. We have yet to let anyone go there without us.

The cost of the potential rental is somewhat irrelevant since we probably won’t rent it. It is more about the relationship of an old friend who I rarely talk to or see.
