Maybe the oils? I am lactose intolerant but can drink the Premier Protein shakes. I don't like powders. They have an almond milk version but I haven't tried it.

You don't need protein powder. But if you must, it's likely the artificial sweetener that's causing your GI distress.

Vegan protein powders have been found to contain lead.

I love cottage cheese. But it bloats me.

Try the lactaid brand, it’s the one that does it the least, but they only have 4%.

I use whey protein powder to supplement ok oats and shakes because I don’t eat a lot of meat. It doesn’t bother me or cause bloating.

But cheese, milk or other dairy gives me awful stomach issues and acid and I need to avoid those. I can’t eat cheese at all anymore. I’d try cutting out the cheese. I didn’t have these problems until my mid 40s.

You might try cutting out the dairy. I became lactose intolerant as I got older. It sucks. I love dairy.

Isn't 30% of your Iron daily value a lot for such a small serving? I remember taking an Iron supplement when I was pregnant and I had so many digestive issues from it. That combined with all of the other artificial ingredients seems like it would make it hard to digest.

Anonymous wrote:You are specifically avoiding whey/casein protein powders but you are eating cottage cheese and Greek yogurt? Perhaps the issue is that you don't tolerate ANY protein powders vs. just not being able to eat the ones with dairy.

This. I'm allergic to casein, so can eat zero dairy. No cheese, no milk, no yogurt, no cottage cheese, etc...

If it's made from milk OP, cut it out for a few weeks and see how you do.

+1, as a nutritionist. Eat the whole food source instead - peas, edamame, soy milk, etc
Also, It’s the sucralose.

I saw a study where they sent in a protein powder to be tested at a lab and it was all sugar. One guy drank it every day for years.
