I was a sophomore, but I still took the full four years.

+1. My school district had limited APs. I took them but not the exams (were expensive and I didn’t feel like studying at the end of senior year.) Thankfully it did not affect my ability to gain admission to a top state school.

Why say age? Not asked

Because I wanted to and I could. So I did.

You wanted to flex. Mission accomplished.

And that’s fine, good for them! You just sound oddly jealous of their 16- year old selves.

I started as a freshman, with 9 credits from a SLAC. I graduated in 3.5 years.

Sophomore with AP and dual enrollment credits, got out of most intro classes, graduated in 3 plus a summer. If I had to do it over I would take 4 years and double major.

Freshman. APs weren't accepted for credit (could only get you around intro class requirements), and there was no option to graduate in any fewer than four years.

Everyone starts as a freshman. I skipped a year, I was never a junior.
My college teen is same, graduating this year but skipped being a junior.

This was the 90s but my big state university took my 3 APs and then I tested out of math and English requirements (it was testing done in a huge computer lab). I got math credits if I took one advanced level class. The English testing got me out of freshman writing and literature but I didn’t get credits. I was a freshman and graduated in 4 years (took two classes one summer)
