My 13 year old son has a weighted blanket plus several other comforters. And sleeps in full track suit. It’s crazy. Are you my sister in law? Don’t worry we’re getting him a neuropsych exam — it’s on the list for 2026.

I was like this until I discovered weighted blankets. I have ADHD but so does my daughter and she doesn't like a lot of blankets at all.

Yes. Weight is calming. Turn his room temperature down and get a weighted blanket. This isn't a symptom of something, it's a common sensory need that many non-NT and some NT people have.

My kid loves cozy blankets at age 13. She likes to have 3 of them. She is a totally normal kid.

Ds is like this. It’s not the weight, it’s that multiple layers keep you cozier than one thicker later. They cocoon you better. I suspect if you asked off the SN forum, you’d also get tons of parents saying their kids like this.

I'm like this. I even tried a weighted blanket but didn't like it. In the summer, my husband will sleep under a sheet if that and on my side, I have several blankets-snug as a bug in a rug. It comforts me.
