RIT has been great for my theater kid on the spectrum, but be aware that they don’t have theater majors, just minors.

I'm the GMU poster. High Point would have been best for my ADHD/anxiety/ASD kid, but we couldn't afford it, and it was too far away. But it would have been great for her. GMU was closer so that worked when DD needed help.


OP here. Why High Point? Just curious. We got a view book from them this week.

High Point is not good for kids on the spectrum.

It is for idiots who can not get in anywhere else.

Otherwise, I'd recommend Goucher, Washington & Jefferson, Juniata, Chatham, Allegheny, etc but I don't think most of them have Japanese.

We were favorable towards Randolph Macon when we visited. They have a Japanese Studies minor. We took the train from Union Station and the trip is just about two hours. It's an easy walk to the college from the train station.

I think you're going to have to look for schools that have a Japanese minor. That is uncommon for small schools.

A primarily commuter school with big financial troubles. Would not recommend. Also, no theater program.

I agree that Shenandoah and Muhlenberg are good suggestions. Have you looked at Mary Washington in VA or St. Mary’s College of MD? Those are other solid public options that check many of the criteria listed.
