Epstein was awful, but apparently, just the tip of the iceberg on pedophilia.
Hopefully, some will become more aware of this mess in society.
I'm no lawyer but I thought an NDA or cash settlement cannot take precedence over a criminal prosecution. If laws have been broken, victims cannot be held to a hush money or signed agreement for them to remain silent. Am I wrong?
Also, if this relates to what Acosta did, what gave him such broad and sweeping power? If it didn't cover Maxwell then why does it cover others? And how would anyone know who it does or doesn't cover? Why can't what Acosta did be reopened?
I'm not a lawyer, but what Acosta did seems corrupt. How was he not charged for covering up Epstein's crimes?

+10000 Congress and others with influence have to amass against him and his cronies and not only remove them from power but also remove their assets. Until that happens, I tend to think Americans have lost that special something we had back in 1776 when we had a little more gumption and stood up to those in power even if it put us and our communities at risk. Trump and his cronies do what they do because they understand they will never pay the price.

Prosecutor can't get a conviction on a "he said, she said" if she won't say anything.
Prosecutor can't get a conviction if he doesn't meet with the victims.

What I don't get is that the charges he was convicted on, and which were a part of the sweetheart deal he pled guilty to, was procuring a person under 18 for prostitution and soliciting a prostitute. That's either one or two events, maximum. How does that extend to what is likely literally hundreds of victims?
I know the wording was that the NPA entered into by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Florida included a promise not to prosecute Epstein for “any offenses that have been the subject of the joint investigation,” but surely there are details that weren't investigated at the time, given the scope of this. Why is this being held as a blanket immunity for everything? They didn't investigate everything. Surely they couldn't have.
