If you must get a GC

My son would like Walmart or Amazon, like above. He can get groceries or gas.

DD - Amazon (she gives to me to exchange for cash) or Sephora

You don't have to spend the exact amount. You can track the spending online. Even when the card gets low it can be used and most stores will accept the remaining amount and you just pay the rest of a purchase with cash or another card.

Then they have changed. But the kids don’t want to be bothered and most give to parents to exchange for cash. Then we put them into Amazon to recycle them. Don’t do that to us.

How does this work?

My kid gives me the Visa GC and I give them the cash for it. Then I buy myself an Amazon GC since it turns into Amazon credit, since I also don’t want a Visa GC hanging around.

Why didn’t you want a Visa GC hanging around? It’s like cash. I would use it at a grocery store very quickly and easily.

My kids don’t have Venmo, can’t use cash online and don’t like to carry it.
