Yeah, I would have stopped this in the moment and my kid would know better, but if this somehow occurred that would be the last time my kid played for that organization. I’d report to the tournament org because they typically have pitch count rules too. That is just awful.
Almost every tournament leaves pitch count at the coaches discretion. This is 100 percent on the coaches.
PG and PBR use pitch counts. I agree that the coaches have responsibility (as do the parents and the athlete). But the two largest baseball tournament organizations absolutely have pitch count rules in place.
