Centreville does need renovated, but it doesn’t need a whole new tower and land leased from the park authority.
Chantilly Needs its own renovation, that school barely has any windows.
McLean needs major work to fix its issues.

Mount Vernon
Annandale
The rest of Justice
The rest of West Potomac (Also received an unnecessary addition.
And probably Lewis (which is essentially in hospice).
Well, the rest of Madison too.
Many of these renovations are just cosmetic and mechanical, with some of these possibly needing conservative additions, besides Chantilly (to a degree) and McLean which has been waiting for years.

Take a look around folks. Federal workforce in DC shrinking, contractor workforce in DC shrinking, birth rates have dropped and the overall K-12 student population is shrinking. Add in moves to non-public alternatives and sure FCPS should be renovating schools but expansion no.

In The Netherlands where I’m initially from, kids go to school based exactly on neighborhood, so you stick with your community throughout your public schooling.

They would rather gouge county taxpayers and leave other schools neglected than inconvenience themselves in the slightest by revising their plans to reflect changed conditions.
It’s bad enough when those changed conditions are outside their control, but they are solely responsible for the decision to buy KAA and open Western, so there’s zero excuse for their not adjusting their plans for CVHS. Reid is just begging for her people to get slapped down.
