It’s still going to be beautiful and Christmasy with lights and decorations. There will still be skiing even if pared down. Your family will all be together in a beautiful area with lovely vistas. The doom and gloom seems a bit misplaced to me.
If you pay $20k for a ski trip you want good skiing. It would be very upsetting to me and it’s also dangerous because skiers of all levels are jammed on the limited open terrain. It’s always a risk in December but this is unprecedented.
