Love it. I bought a solid wood version(maybe white oak?) 15 years ago and it has stood the test of time.

That style of lamp can be made cheap or expensive. You'll see them at HomeGoods and at Kellogg. I think they're classic, but I'd want to see them in person to make sure they're nicely made.

Lamps from estate sales are often terrific. But you might need to replace the socket and cord, which isn't difficult.
