Pp, the correct answer is to look at SCHEV to where your child fits. SCHEV tells us those entering GMU last fall had a 1360 at the 75th percentile; a 1260 at the median; and a 1180 at the 25th percentile. The incoming class reports ACT scores of 31/28/25 respectively and weighted GPA of 3.99 at the 75th percentile. 3.70 at the median and 3.42 at the bottom 25th percentile. Knowing this, now look at your own High School’s Naviance and/or SCOIR to figure out how kids with your own child’s predicted record did with admissions. If you can’t figure that out make an appointment with your high school counselor to review. Good luck.

My own SN kid (ASD/ADHD/Anxiety/depression) had great difficulty with the transition to GMU (transitions are tough for Aspies) and soon found that she could not manage a full load so, with help of disability services, cut back, which meant it took her six years to graduate. That’s no criticism of GMU - she would have struggled anywhere else. Good luck.
