Good starter tournament to the real winter futsal season. Back-to-back champs. Easy.

You mean their 2011 team with their three 'legends' who are also on DCU? Wasn't that the team that lost in the semi's last year?

Overall, I thought it was a very nice tournament. Kind of weird that some of these clubs and coaches use this as branding for their teams like posting scores on their IG. Some of these clubs had like 30 or more teams competing so you should win some age brackets.

I think there was another thread a while back explaining that the False 8 /SYC ‘thing’ was just a one year partnership or contract.

They are coaching decent futsal skills. But without a previous pathway on the girls side, they have loosing talent of the last 5 years. With GA acceptance, talent might return to Alexandria. At least they try to coach futsal in-house. Clubs like SYC don't event try and just outsource that to "club neutral" programs like F8.

Not associated with ASA at all but saw them play a bunch this weekend and they looked fine. Lopsided scores are all over this tourney, not just them on occasion, just because you have outdoor teams looking for reps who get housed by futsal clubs. But it’s not a GA/ECNL issue as to why they might not look good in a December minor futsal tournament, that’s a silly take.

Any outdoor club that treats futsal as a money grab, which pretty much any one is, will hit a ceiling no matter how good their player pool is. And that’s fine, not every player needs to play futsal over the winter to improve… would be nice if clubs and parents realized that.
